From booking to report: the inspection journey
If you have never used third-party QCANT, the process can seem like a black box. In reality, it follows a clear, repeatable path. Here is what happens, step by step.
1. Booking and briefing
You provide the order details: purchase order, product specifications, approved sample reference, AQL level and inspection date. QCANT assigns an inspector and confirms the schedule with the factory.
2. Preparation and on-site check-in
The inspector studies your documents, arrives on time, checks in through our app with location verification, and holds an opening meeting with the factory. Your integrity statement is read and signed.
3. Counting and random sampling
Cartons are counted against the packing list, and cartons are sampled randomly — typically the square-root rule, with AQL-based product sampling (ISO 2859-1 / MIL-STD-105E). Sampled products never leave the inspector's sight.
4. Inspection and testing
Appearance is checked under good lighting, functions are tested, and defects are classified as Critical, Major or Minor with clear photos as evidence. On-site tests follow your technical protocol.
5. Report and follow-up
A detailed report — with photos, defect lists and a clear pass/fail conclusion — is delivered within 24 hours. If the batch fails, the factory is notified and can rework before you commit to shipment.
